Press Release TeddyCam ® – As Featured on Tomorrow’s World Wednesday night’s (4th July) Tomorrow’s World programme from the BBC features an innovative new product which could revolutionise the baby monitor market. TeddyCam ® is being launched following Wednesday’s programme by Livecam, the Glasgow based company that has invented, designed and developed this baby watching and listening system. TeddyCam ® enables parents and carers to monitor babies and small children by listening and watching them, using existing televisions, without entering the room and disturbing them unnecessarily. TeddyCam ® looks like a normal teddy bear with one important exception – a very small video camera and microphone instead of a nose. TeddyCam ® is placed in the same room as the child and means that when the child stirs or makes a noise its movements can be watched on television by simply changing channels. Using the latest wireless CCTV technology, TeddyCam ® consists of the teddy and an audio / video receiver. The teddy contains a camera, microphone and transmitter and the audio / video receiver connects to the television. There are no wires connecting the teddy and the receiver and TeddyCam ® can be used in any room in the house or used to watch children in the garden. If the reaction to the product in the Far East is anything to go by then TeddyCam ® looks set to watch over a high percentage of the UK’s 4.8 million youngsters under the age of four. Livecam Managing Director and product inventor, Robert Adam explains, “When we were in the Far East we had electronics companies fighting over the right to manufacture TeddyCam ® . We eventually did a deal with a company that manufacturers for computer giant Microsoft among others.” TeddyCam ® retails for £175.00 and is available direct from selected retailers. The product is CE marked and guaranteed for two years. Livecam are providing telephone advice and customer care from their premises outside Glasgow. “We have had a lot of interest from some of the UK’s largest retailers and we are being selective with the distribution of TeddyCam ® in order to safeguard the long term future of the product.” Adds Robert Adam. “It’s a great feeling to be involved with a product that has the potential to take a little of the stress and worry out of parenting in the early years and we are very excited about the prospects for TeddyCam ® both in the UK and abroad.” ENDS Important User informationSee also Baby monitorTO ORDER
