With Sony's ExView HAD technology, increased sensitivity of the visible and the near infrared wavelengths gives incredible results for low light conditions. Actually, most people are astounded when they turn off the lights and the camera still gives an image. But of course, seeing is believing, and here is a link to example pictures.
